Latest tourism & corona updates from Croatia 🇭🇷
They are considering closing Stansted as a base (will not base staff or aircraft there) but will still fly there. Today, EasyJet is only flying to Split from Luton. But your flight is nearly three weeks away and given that EasyJet and other airlines were still in court against the quarantine measures in the U.K. on Friday, I expect they will have been as eagerly awaiting that announcement as the rest of us. I am not aware that they have confirmed they won’t serve Stansted it that route, and suspect they will make decisions in the next few days after a weekend of bookings etc; I know waiting is awful but I’m not sure an answer exists yet. We are due to fly out of Gatwick and back into Stansted with them in August.

Second attempt to receive an email confirmation from EnterCroatia failed. I have the Certificate but the MUP never replied via email. I even sent them an email asking about it.....Nothing

Report from Sweden citizens just arrived in Croatia. Ferry to Germany then pass border to Austria Slovenia and then in to Croatia. Filled in the Entercroatia document before arrival and everything went very smooth.
You didn’t get an automated email after you submitted the form? It’s the same thing as the confirmation page you can just screenshot that
My tix were booked together. I never had to get baggage, just walked from my arrival gate to my departure gate. I corrected a mistake in this post as I had mistakenly said I went through customs. I did not go through customs of any sort in Frankfurt.
I am British and partner is Croatian left UK with caravan and car just crossed border no problems in any country just ask where in Croatia we are going and took phone number.
Big ques leaving Croatia and leaving Slovenia into Austria.
Hi Charles, I did answer this earlier but it's easy to lose a conversation on here! I live in SF, and had the closest consulate in LA handle the letter for me. They shipped a stamped letter to me that I'll post again as well. I called in and they asked for me to scan and email both US passports, our flight itinerary, my wife's Domovnica, and a scanned check made out to the consulate in the amount they tell you do it in.
Ferry to hvar this afternoon
Can you clarify what you mean? You can’t do layover in EU if coming from the US?
Can you please provide more details here? I’m flying out of Dallas on Thursday to LHR to SPU and was feeling pretty good until this.
Croatia is in EU but not in Schengen. If you come through Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt etc - you are in transit through Schengen country but do not enter the zone. And Croatia sets its own border rules outside Schengen and will welcome you.
Putting Croatia's Coronavirus Numbers in Perspective
Lots of talk of Croatia's corona numbers in recent days. A little perspective - https://www.total-croatia-news.com/travel/44799-coronavirus-numbers
Paul, I assume LHR would also be included in your list of EU transit cities...Thank you.
Yes UK is Eu officially until Dec 31
Hi Sanja and RB thanks for your replies. I agree it is early days with the announcement by uk government on Friday . However you can’t even purchase flights from Stansted to Split during that period at the moment , which makes me feel i might experience what happened to Sanja regards Helen
Most értünk Crikvenicara, határnál kb. 20perc minden tökéletes. Szuper.
Are you referring to a round trip ticket? Coming back to the US after flying to Croatia?
Hi Sanja &RB You can still purchase the flight back from Split to London Stansted on Tues 4 Aug which is our return date and return time . Dep 17:35 arrive 19:10. I purchased that flight in Feb rather Luton one so I could have enough time to get from Hvar island to Split airport . Luton return time was too early . However wasn’t going to know this scenario at that stage . Any other feedback from viber community would be appreciated . Regarding just getting a voucher I thought uk law was that if an airline cancels a flight they should refund if requested within 7 working days . However during lockdown noticed they were this option if you rang them . No good if you can’t get through Regards Helen
Hi Everybody, Everything worked out perfectly flying with Lufthansa/ United From Newark =>Frankfurt => Split For us, flying with 4 USA passports, ( we didn't need to show any proof of Croatian citizenship ) + in Newark we showed them MUP #, In Frankfurt, no question asked coming with USA passport. In Croatia no problems too. They just asked us where we are staying ( i said my house + number to be reached on ) in case of any problems with corona they want to know. That's all! I wish you all safe travels and know that you can do it! Ps: big thank you for Total Croatia Viber crew!!! Great job!!! 💙💙💙
Hi! I plan on traveling with my family to Macedonia. We are US citizens and will transit through London and Zagreb. It seems its ok but wanted to make sure we are fine to transit through Croatia. Thank you!
Exactly. When I received their email regarding the cancellation, there were two options to choose from: 1. Voucher 2. To call them to get a refund. I’ve tried so many times for like a week, never managed to get someone to answer. Very annoying. I gave up at the end and got that voucher 😫
Hello. Do you know if EU citizens, driving through Serbia and Bosnia, can enter Croatia;
Took 14 weeks for me to get a cash refund off Ryanair 😳
Hey I’m arriving in Croatia July 23rd, I’m looking into traveling via coach to Venice, Italy on July 27th (returning on July 28th) do you know if this is going to be a problem or not? From what I understand the coach goes through Slovenia - which is on the Yellow list. I take it if you are traveling through there aren’t issues and the rules regarding quarantine don’t apply?
What Do the Green, Yellow & Red Lists Mean for Entering Slovenia During the Corona Crisis?
There are only 4 ferries from Split to Stari Grad. Are they heavy loaded?
Currently no - I was on one 2 days ago - half empty. That will probably change in the next weeks. Advice from a local in peak season to get there two hours before to be reasonably sure. then have a coffee, or two.
I go to my sister's house as a tourist, I have her permission to stay in the house for free... What to select in the entercroaria form under "facility" where we will stay? I mean, I am not owner but also my sister do not rent the house for tourists...
Hi Helen, easyJet is definitely flying from London Luton only. I had a booked flight from Stansted which never happened, and couldn’t reach them at all. They gave me (later via email) a voucher which will expire in summer 2021. Forget about refund. I would suggest to book another flight with Wizzair (flew with them two weeks ago from Luton) or try EasyJet but only also from Luton. I’m sure you will receive an email from them saying that your flight has been cancelled (happened to me). EasyJet customer service is disgraceful. Very disappointed. Good luck 😉
Thanks for sharing this experience! I think I will book from Minneapolis -Newark- Frankfurt- Dubrovnik as it seems others had a good experience with this 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
COVID-19 & Slovenia - Sunday, 5 July: 700+ Quarantine Orders at Border Over Weekend, 21 New Cases Saturday
Thank you. I printed the Certificate. Dobar put
I am a bit confused here. Who can help? I just wanted to register myself (Dutch national) and my husband (permanent NL residence card + Georgian passport) as advised by HR government, we'll go on holidays in 2 weeks. I asked the border police a couple of weeks ago if my husband should register with his Georgian passport or his EU residence, I was told it should be done with his passport. Now, on the website, I am reading that non-EU citizens should still bring confirmation of reservation and they should bring the documentation as specified on the website (so in this case, a passport). This confuses me, as we are told he should register with his passport, not with his residence card. Does this mean that EU residents with permanent residence cards (but originally from outside the EU) should bring confirmations of reservations as they register themselves with their original passports and not their residence cards? Thanks for advising.
Paperwork and Persistence: How Americans are Flying to Croatia After July 1
If he can get to the border with appropriate visa requirements, currently he can come. This is applicable to all at the moment. Getting to the border is his job https://www.total-croatia-news.com/travel/44757-paperwork
Thank you. I think getting there will not be a problem. He has a permanent Dutch residence permit and can travel freely within Schengen. I am just confused whether we have to bring all the confirmations in the end or not (because of how things are stated on the website). EU permanent residence holders can enter under the same conditions as EU nationals, correct?
yes, but bring as much paper as you can - it all helps. And fill in entercroatia.mup.hr adn you will be fine
Can anyone make a recommendation for the best airline to travel from the US to Croatia? I have heard certain airlines are more problematic when boarding or cancelling flights. I’m trying to book a flight for the 23of this month. Thank you.
SAS, KLM, Swiss looking good from the feedback in this community
I took some time to decide and ultimately went with KLM (from Chicago via AMS) because they seem to have a large number of flights operating (so I assume it would be easier to reschedule if anything was canceled or delayed). Also, they are partnered with Delta, which is one of the most accommodating US airlines in my experience. Hope that helps!
Anyone use Austrian out of NY?
